PRESS RELEASE

Greetings,

High Desert community Black History Month celebration will take place on February 27th at Destiny Christian Center located at 14380 Armagosa Rd. Victorville 92395 (north of Palmdale Rd.) Our celebrity host this year is the acclaimed actor Darius McCrary of the hit TV series ‘Family Matters’.

This year’s theme is ‘A Time to Remember’ an amazing theatrical skit that celebrates the victories and legacy of African Americans. The program will also include entertainment by various talented and gifted choirs and performers.

2010 High Desert Black History Month will focus efforts on supporting the High Desert Red Cross with the Haiti Rescue program. As you well know, this is a vital mission that will need our support for many years to come. This is a welcomed opportunity to demonstrate our love, faith and commitment to our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

We are requesting on behalf of Black History Month for each High Desert based African American organization, church and/or business in the High Desert to sponsor a $200.00 table with proceeds to benefit the High Desert Red Cross for Haiti Relief. Your promotional table at the event can be used for fundraising, information etc.

Kindly respond by 2-19-2010 to reserve your table. Should you have further questions and/or comments please call (760) 887-3746.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
